How can I remove restrictions from my Erie County Pistol Permit?

We offer a Intro To Concealed Carry Class ,this is the class you are looking for if the Judge asked you to take an NRA certified concealled carry class Erie County NY.

Erie County requires that you give a reason that is personal to you in order to receive or upgrade your NY permit to a NY pistol permit without restrictions. They also require that you have some familiarity with firearms. The training that we offer can not guarantee that you will get a permit without restrictions, but it we have a near perfect record so far! We also offer our instructors help in proof reading and their suggestions on wording to help better your chances of obtaining a full carry permit. Please contact us for more info.

Can I buy and own pepper spray (defense spray or OC spray) in New York State?

Yes! A civilian 18 years or older can purchase and posses pepper spray in new york. But you must obtain it properly and can not purchase pepper spray out-of-state and bring it back in to New York. FTWNY’s  Pepper Spray Training Class will give you and your loved ones the training needed to effectively use pepper spray and you will receive 3 training canisters as well as a live canister of spray to take home with you.

Which Pistol Permit Class is right for me?

If you live in New York State then you must obtain a New York State Pistol Permit to legally own or shoot a pistol in NY state.  FTWNY’s Erie, Niagara, Orleans & Genesee County Pistol Permit Class provides you with the certificate of training that you need to apply for your New York State Pistol Permit in Erie, Niagara, Orleans, Ontario and Genesee Counties.

If you want to travel and carry your pistol concealed in as many states as possible, then you need a Utah, Florida or Arizona Concealed Carry Permit. Our Multi State Class gives you the training that is required before you can apply for a Utah Concealed Firearms Permit (37 total States honor this permit)

If you want to travel in the state of Florida with your pistol then FTWNY’s Utah CFP  combined with our  Florida CCW is what you’ll need (34 total states honor the Florida Permit, 36 total states honor the combined UT/FL permits)A Florida permit is the only pistol permit that can be used by NY residents to carry in the state of Florida! A Pennsylvania permit is not good in Florida unless you are a Pennsylvania resident.

If you want to carry in the state of Nevada, then you would want the Arizona CCW as well.

How do I register for a class or classes?

Email us at info@ftwny.com fill out one of the contact forms at the bottom of the pages or call us at 716.903.2558. All you need to do is give us your Name & Phone Number and the Name/Date/Location of the class or classes you would like to register for.

Can classes be brought to my home, business, club or group?

Yes, all of our classes can be brought to your location. Call or e-mail for all of the details. (free classes may be available to the person who hosts the class)

Can I get just the Utah CFP  if I do not want a Florida CCW or AZ CCW Permits?

Yes, you can pay for  just the Utah CFP if you do not want a Florida CCW.

Do I need a NYS Pistol Permit to apply for a Utah, Florida or Arizona Concealed Carry Permit?

*No, a New York State pistol permit is not required to apply for the Utah Non-Resident Permit, Florida Non-Resident Permit or the Arizona Non-Resident permit. You can take the class and receive these permits while you wait for your NY  or even before you apply for your New York State Permit.

Is the Utah, Florida or Arizona Concealed Carry Permit Valid in New York State?

*NO* Utah CFP/CCW Permits and Florida CCW Permits DO NOT allow you to purchase a pistol or carry a concealed firearm within the State of New York. If you want to own or carry a handgun in New York State, you must obtain a New York State Permit.
